WALL AND ROOF THIMBLE
IEC wall and roof thimbles enable safe exhaust pass-through while protecting building structures and maintaining compliance.
Industrial Exhaust Wall Thimbles are designed to meet or exceed requirements laid out in NFPA 110 & 37 for exhaust pipes to pass through combustible walls. NFPA 37 states that wall thimbles shall be a minimum of 12” larger in OD than the exhaust tube or pipe. Our wall thimbles are manufactured to protrude 9” on either side of the wall.

Our exhaust wall thimbles are insulated with high density fiberglass insulation in addition to using air gaps for dissipating heat and are manufactured with heavy gauge carbon steel. The exterior plate is welded in place and the interior plate is shipped loose for easy installation. Typically, the access hole for the thimble should be a minimum of 1” larger than the body OD while keeping in mind the location of the bolt holes in the mounting plate.​
